DESCRIPTION: A mite-induced gall that is seen as a lumpy growth on the upper surface of the host leaves. Galls are yellowish to green becoming red with the concave under-surface hairy and contained the causal agents. DISTRIBUTION: A species of southern Britain that can be seen throughout the year. HABITAT: On the leaves of Geum species, mainly Geum urbanum (Wood Avens). |
